Yesterday was a big day for me. Two huge things happened:
- My parents and grandmother arrived from Florida.
- I had an in-person for a position at a company in downtown Minneapolis.
I guess I should say three huge things happened: I had a callback for this position to meet with the big boss about the position.
Hmmm, I could say four big things: My ham & bean soup was fantabulous last night!
Yep, it was a big day all around.
I was super excited to see my folks! I hadn’t seen them in 3 years and, to be quite honest, we’re not daily, weekly or monthly callers. So getting to hug them in person and to see their happy faces was a real joy! It was nice that we yapped and yapped about things, knowing that we get to do it all over again the next day.
My grandmother is here too. She looks so good! I hope that I look as good as her when I’m 88… of course, I hope that I actually look 68 when I’m that age.
This week, we plan on playing lots of cards, eating good stuff and generally relax and enjoy ourselves. Not a bad plan if I do say so myself.
On the work side of life, I had an interview for a wonderful position at a great company for a Senior Administration Assistant position. I think it totally rocked on the successful interview level. I must not have been too far off in my perspective because just a few hours later, I was called back to schedule a second interview with the big wig with whom I hope to work. Yay God!
If y’all could pray that I would be just as likable and impress her well next Monday at 9 AM, I’d be much obliged.
I’d also appreciate the prayers for a different interview for a different position at the same company which will be at 11:30 that same Monday. Yup. God did a double whammy for me! God has me interviewing all over the board at this company. That’s okay. I’d really love to work there, and I like both the positions!
So I have lots of irons in the fire, ready for God to pull one out some time soon.
Oh, and my parents took me out for ice cream at Culver’s today. Life is VERY good. So was the the custard with Butterfingers on top, too.
